Michael Turajlich
October 27, 1940 - February 13, 2015
Mirko “Mike” Turajlich –
1940 – 2015
With deepest sorrow, we announce the sudden passing of Mike on February 13, 2015. Survived by his loving wife Beba of 45 years. Proud and beloved father of Michael (Rose) and Sonja (Chris). Fun loving and doting Deda to his two grandchildren, Christina and Jonathan; and loving great-uncle to Tatyana, Maya, and Ethan. Dearly loved by his nieces: Natasha (Yves), Diana (Mark), and Dragica; and nephews: Mark “Bootso”, Michael “Mickey”, and Donny. He will be missed by his sister, Mara (Nikola). He shared many wonderful memories with his sister-in-law, Maca (Milos), his brother-in-law, Stanko, who will miss him dearly; and his sister-in-law, Seka who predeceased him. Dearest friend and kum to Seja (Joco, predeceased), Gordana and Peter Lalic.
Mike was a devoted fan of the Maple Leafs and a true lover of every sport. He was a coach, an athlete, a referee, a golf buddy, a friend, and a kind stranger who smiled and talked to everyone. He will be forever missed by all of those whose lives he touched for years and even those with whom he shared brief moments. He shared his life, love, and laughter with many friends; far too many to list. He was truly and simply a wonderful man.
Visitation at Taylor Funeral Home, Davis Dr., Newmarket on Sunday, February 15 (4-9 pm) and at Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home in Sudbury on Tuesday, February 17 (4-9 pm), funeral and burial on Wednesday, February 18 at 12 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation or St. Peter and Paul Serbian Orthodox Church, Sudbury.
