James (Jim) William Morton
January 4, 1928 - September 18, 2016
Passed away, with family by his side, at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Mary. Devoted father of Robert (Jeanne), Janet (Murray), Patricia (Ed) and David (Joan). Grandfather to James, Emily, Patrick, David, Billy, Jenn and Katie. Great-grandfather to Weston.
A dedicated family man and avid Curler, Jim was loved for his delightfully dry sense of humour, generosity and zest for life. Jim is predeceased by a wide circle of life-long friends.
Special thanks to the staff at the Roxborough Retirement Residence for their care and attention these past 3 years.
Thank you to the nurses at Southlake Regional Health Centre, for their compassionate and gentle care.
A Service Celebrating Jim's Life will be held on Thursday, September 22 at 3:00 p.m. at the Roxborough Retirement Residence, 1 Roxborough Rd, Newmarket, in the Jolson Theater.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate that a donation be made in Jim's memory, to the charity of choice.
