<div itemprop="description">It is with great sadness that the family announce that James (Jim or Jimbo as he was affectionately called) Botterill passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday evening, December 9, 2015 at Southlake Regional Health Centre. Beloved husband to June (n&eacute;e Bird) of more than 47 years and loving father to Marla, Andrea (Kevin) and Laura and the doting &ldquo;Papa&rdquo; to Marcus and Dara. He will be sadly missed by his siblings Carol (Robbie) Robinson of Calgary and Lorraine (Craig) Bingeman and Allyson (Drew) Miller both of Winnipeg and their families. He is fondly remembered by his in-laws George (Janet) Bird of Calgary, Brenda Bird of Winnipeg and Joyce (Lyle) Nadon of Newmarket and their families. Jim is predeceased by his parents Harry &amp; Nora Botterill of Winnipeg. Jim was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba and was involved in many team sports. He was a graduate of the University of Winnipeg with a degree in Economics. He married his high school crush and the two lived together in Manitoba, British Columbia and lastly Ontario where they spent the last 35 years. Jim worked in insurance with a specialization in pension benefits for many companies over his career. Many thanks to CCAC and the Saint Elizabeth nurses and his family physician Dr. Robert Doherty for their on-going care. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to either the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.</div>
